Residents of a complex in Miami Beach said their bikes were stolen and that the potential suspects were caught on surveillance video.
Annette Snyder said she had her e-scooter parked in front of the complex off 78th Street on July 21 when cameras captured the moment it was stolen.
"It's very upsetting, and I feel very unsafe," Snyder said.
The footage shows a person, wearing a bucket hat, riding their bike to a pole that has Snyder's e-scooter chained to it.
They remove the chain – and the pole – before taking off with the e-scooter.
“I thought the pole was a safe place," Snyder said. "I thought, they can’t get the pole, I had no idea you could unscrew it so easily.”
At around the same time, her neighbor, Itai Bronshtein, said his first bike was stolen inside the lobby.
