U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers on the Buffalo side of the Peace Bridge border crossing, arrested a U.S. citizen on Wednesday after he allegedly tried to leave the country in a stolen luxury BMW worth $100,000.

Border authorities said they encountered Mokhtar Kazemi, 33, driving a 2023 BMW XM as he was attempting to travel to Canada.

Border officers then confirmed through the National Crime Information Centre that the BMW was a match to a vehicle that had been reported stolen in Baltimore, Md., this past May. Read More
