BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) -- A Buffalo police detective has received new charges after he allegedly bought stolen account credentials, including credit card information, online between March and August 2020, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office.
Terrance Michael Ciszek, 35, was originally charged with possession of unauthorized access devices with intent to defraud and making a false statement to an agency of the United States.
A superseding indictment has now charged Ciszek with aggravated identity theft and affecting transactions with access devices issued to other persons.
Ciszek allegedly purchased 11 packages on Genesis Market, an online marketplace that sells stolen information such as usernames, email addresses, and passwords, in 2020. The packages contained a total 194 stolen acco
