A man who was arrested earlier this month after he was found with a loaded AR-15 in his rental car at Palm Beach International Airport was pulled over for speeding earlier that same morning in Palm Beach Gardens, body-worn camera video shows.

Michael Rodrigues, 41, arrived at the airport about 5 a.m. Aug. 5 and drove around to different areas before entering an employee-only lot, according to a probable cause affidavit. Airport authorities called deputies two hours later to report a “suspicious” man outside of a car parked in the restricted area.

A fully loaded AR-15 magazine was found inside the car’s glove compartment when one deputy opened it to look at the rental agreement, the affidavit said. They searched the car and found a fully loaded AR-15 rifle, knives hidden under a blanket
