A 22-year-old man allegedly confessed to stabbing his 18-year-old, pregnant girlfriend two weeks ago in Rehoboth and burying her body on his family’s 25-acre property, according to authorities and legal filings.

The allegations were detailed in police reports and by a prosecutor Wednesday in Taunton District Court, where Gregory R. Groom pleaded not guilty to charges of murder and assault and battery on a pregnant victim in connection with the death of Kylee Monteiro.

Groom was ordered held without bail. His court-appointed lawyer didn’t respond to the allegations during the brief hearing.

Monteiro went missing Aug. 7 and was about 11 weeks pregnant at the time of her death, officials said.
