The father of Boston Celtics star Jaylen Brown was arrested in connection with a Wednesday night stabbing in Las Vegas .

Quenton Marselles Brown, 57, was taken into custody and booked into the Clark County Detention Center on a charge of attempted murder , according to local ABC affiliate KTNV. He was scheduled to make a court appearance Thursday afternoon.

Las Vegas police said the incident spiraled out from an altercation in a parking lot at All American Park , a public recreation area, around 6 p.m. local time. A “door ding” allegedly sparked the argument , reported 3 News Las Vegas.
