EVERETT — Edmonds Mayor Mike Rosen has named Todd Tatum as acting city administrator.

Tatum previously served as the city’s director of community, culture and economic development. The City Council approved the creation of a the new position last month and eliminated Tatum’s former position. The change will cost the city $76,000 over three years.

Tatum will handle some of the city’s day-to-day operations, shifting some of the workload from Rosen. The adjustment will allow Rosen to focus on the city’s strategic vision, intergovernmental relations and leadership without being overwhelmed by the operational workload, Rosen said in a presentation to the council.
