WILLIAMSPORT, P.A. (Dakota News Now) - The Sioux Falls Little League team’s season has come to an end with a heartbreaking loss on Wednesday night.
It was a devastating loss for this Sioux Falls team on Wednesday night. They were three outs away from their third win of the tournament twice, but ultimately fell in walkoff fashion in the Williamsport rain.
The tough loss isn’t what the team will be known for.
The team took the field for the first time at Lamade Stadium against a rowdy hometown crowd, taking them out of it with a hot start at the plate.
“Against the big crowd, it was really cool because I felt like we beat more than just the team. We beat their entire crowd. That feeling was amazing,” said 1st baseman/pitcher Kenson Henderson.
