KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - An Independence School District teacher was charged with three federal child pornography crimes alleged to have occurred while employed at another school district.

Federal prosecutors announced Thursday afternoon that 28-year-old Dennis Hernandez was charged with transportation of child pornography, production and attempted production of child pornography, and possession of child pornography.

Court documents alleged that Hernandez was found to have several images and videos of child pornography on his cell phones. Hernandez had worked as a substitute teacher in the North Kansas City Schools district, court documents showed, and he admitted to producing one of his videos inside a Gladstone elementary school.
