Minnesota ramps to and from Bong Bridge to have closures

DULUTH, Min. – The rehabilitation project on the Bong Bridge will lead to some closures on the Minnesota side of the structure.

The closures will start Friday, August 22, 2025.

Friday and Saturday, Aug. 22-23: The ramp from southbound I-35 to eastbound US 2 will be closed early Friday morning and reopen to traffic by 11:59 p.m. Saturday.

Monday and Tuesday, Aug. 25-26: The ramp from westbound US 2 to northbound I-35 will be closed early Monday morning and reopen to traffic by 11:59 p.m. Tuesday.

Wednesday and Thursday, Aug. 27-28: The ramp from northbound I-35 to eastbound US 2 will be closed early Wednesday morning and reopen to traffic by 11:59 p.m. Thursday.

All closed ramps will be detoured; motorists should follow detour signs.
