ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) – Members of the Pine Hills community discussed how they’d like to ‘Reimagine St. Rose’. It’s part of an ongoing series of community discussions. On Thursday the county executive gave NEWS10 a tour of the campus and shared the vision for the future.

County Executive Dan McCoy showed us how they’ve left the St. Rose signage up as we toured the facilities. He said it’s important to pay respect to the campus history. The county is already activating some spaces.

Albany County has The Department of Aging and the Department of Veterans operating out of St. Rose.

“Which is right in the gym and we already opened up the gym. So we do pickleball, yoga, we’re doing CPR lessons for kids who become lifeguards because we've got the shortage,” said McCoy.
