ALABAMA (WHNT) — Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama has launched a Spanish-language version of its Baby Yourself maternity app, aiming to improve access to prenatal and postpartum care for the state’s growing Hispanic population.

Blue Cross Blue Shield covers over 2 million Alabamians. The state is home to more than 250,000 Hispanic residents, many of whom live in rural areas where maternity care is limited. These communities often face barriers to care, including a lack of OBGYN providers and birthing hospitals.
