LOGAN COUNTY, Arkansas — According to the Logan County Sheriff's Office (LCSO), a man drove himself to the hospital after being shot in the back on Aug. 19.

LCSO says officers from the Booneville Police Department (BPD) responded to Mercy Hospital in Booneville in response to a gunshot victim who had driven himself to their emergency room.

Upon arrival, BPD reportedly spoke with the victim, who said he was at a home in rural Logan County when Derik Brady, 43, shot him in the back during a dispute. The shooting was also seen by a witness, LCSO said.

Investigators, including an LCSO deputy, an Arkansas State Police special agent, and a Booneville officer, reportedly traveled to the home and found evidence of a shooting at the residence, but did not find Brady.
