SCHUYLKILL HAVEN, Pa. — Schuylkill Haven comes in as our No. 2 team after an 11-win season, finishing with a run to the District XI Championship.
A close battle left the Hurricanes on the losing end of that game, but the team returns a strong group of seniors up front, and in the backfield. That includes the two-headed monster of Niko Castillo and Niko Carestia. Carestia ran for over 2700 yards and punched in 38 touchdowns last season.
“Me, Niko Castillo, Colton Reber, we've all worked our butts off throughout the offseason,” said Carestia. “We broke the school record in the 4x100, and it was three running backs and a receiver. Strength and speed, that's the biggest- that’s the two biggest things in a football game,” said Carestia.
Junior quarterback, Max Heim, takes over as team’s star
