TOLEDO, Ohio —

Residents in west Toledo are sharing their concerns about a house they say is abandoned, all except for the dogs and cats that were left inside.

"Nobody seems to care or want to help," one neighbor of the home on Loxley Road told WTOL 11.

The neighbor, who asked to remain anonymous for personal safety, says they started to see issues with the house earlier this summer.

"I started to notice people hanging out on the front porch late at night and hearing animals in the house," they said.

This wouldn't seem too out of the ordinary, but neighbors say the home's owner is dead.

Lucas County property records show 2002 Loxley Road belongs to Stephen Bedrin, and according to the Lucas County Coroner's office, he died earlier this year.
