DES MOINES, Iowa —
The Iowa Democratic Party shared Thursday that it's launching a questionnaire called "the 2028 Iowa Democratic Family Conversation Survey" to collect feedback from Iowans regarding the caucus process. Questions cover topics such as timing, DNC compliance, and voter priorities.
While the local party is focused on winning races in next year's election, they are also planning for the 2028 nominating process. Any Iowan who has participated in the party's caucus or wishes to be part of it can take the survey.
National Democrats removed Iowa's first-in-the-nation caucus status in 2022 and will reassess Iowa's position for the 2028 race.
Party chair Rita Hart expressed hope that the survey will capture what Iowans are seeking.
