An eight-month-old baby boy has been found in “good health” after an Amber Alert was issued by Peel Regional Police on Thursday.
Peel police said on social media that the boy was found after allegedly being abandoned by the suspect and the alert was cancelled at about 6:40 p.m. Emergency alerts had been sent to phones across the province about an hour earlier after he went missing in Brampton.
Police, however, are still on the lookout for a suspect in the case.
Shahzaib Memon, 40, who is described as Middle Eastern with black hair, is 5-foot-9 and weighs about 120 pounds.
Cops are also seeking a grey 2023 Nissan Rogue with the Ontario licence plate CZLM113.
They asked anyone with information about the suspect or the suspect vehicle to not approach and instead contact 911 immediately.
