BROOK PARK, Ohio (WJW) - The Brook Park City Council on Thursday passed sweeping new rules clearing the way for construction of a Cleveland Browns dome and the development around it.
The city will now allow a wide range of things to be built there, the FOX 8 I-Team has learned.
The Browns hope to build an enclosed stadium and eventually entertainment and even housing around it.
The decision comes after the Ohio Department of Transportation rejected a building permit for the dome just across from the Cleveland Hopkins International Airport. Browns officials said they planned to meet with ODOT to see what can be worked out.
Meanwhile, the city of Cleveland keeps fighting in federal and count
