CANYON, Texas (KFDA) - Former Amarillo High basketball star Zach Brown will be joining his dad and the West Texas A&M men’s basketball team for the 2025-26 season.
Brown’s dad, Buffs head coach Tom Brown, said in an announcement:
Zach Brown now get to team up with another former Amarillo High standout again — his older brother T.J., who red-shirted for the Buffs last season.
During his time as a Sandie, Brown was a three-year varsity starter and racked up 98 career wins.
His 1,396 points in that time makes him the second leader scorer in Amarillo High history.
In his senior campaign, Brown helped lead the sandies to a 31-6 record — including a perfect 16-0 against district opponents.
His efforts on the court landed him numerous accolades, including a nomination in the Texas Panhandle
