GUYMON, Oklahoma (KFDA) - The Guymon Tigers are ready to get their 2025 football season underway.

The Tigers are a young team, and also have a young coaching staff on the sidelines — but that doesn’t stop the connection on or off the field.

“Most of us played college football, and we can relate to the guys really well,” says head coach Jake Martinez. “I’m getting to the age where I don’t really know who they’re listening to music-wise and all that, but it’s still fun being around these guys, so it’s been a great experience.”

It’s year 3 for Martinez as the head shot caller, and he says the Tigers offense will look a little different this season.

We’re running the run and shoot this year, so it’s a little more option routes and a little more fun for the guys.”
