Federal Investigation Opened Amid Claims Haverford Failed to Address Harassment of Jewish and Israeli Students
The U.S. Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights (OCR) initiated an investigation on Wednesday into Haverford College following credible reports that the institution failed to respond appropriately to incidents of discrimination and harassment targeting Jewish and Israeli students.
The investigation, announced by Acting Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights Craig Trainor, centers on alleged violations of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
