WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE) — The Rhode Island Department Transportation said it will shift all travel lanes on Interstate 95 North to the left near the Route 37/Jefferson Boulevard service road on Aug. 22.

Lanes, off-ramps, and on-ramps will remain open, but lanes will be narrowed.

RIDOT said the change was to create a work zone to demolish the large, structurally deficient bridges that carry I-95 over Jefferson Boulevard and the Pawtuxet River.

The shift is expected to be in place through the fall.
