IOWA CITY, Iowa (KCRG) - The Iowa soccer team kicked off the season with its biggest road win in more than five years. It’s no surprise this group of Hawkeyes is picking up where they left off.

The team capped off the 2024 season by tying the program record for most victories in a season with 15 and advancing to their first-ever NCAA Sweet 16.

“My freshman year coming in, we were always considered the underdogs. It’s nice to kind of feel like we’ve brought this program so far that we are the dogs on top,” graduate senior forward Meike Ingles said.

This year’s roster is stacked with veteran leaders. It includes eight graduate students and three seniors. Following their season-opening win against sixth ranked Arkansas, the Hawkeyes climbed to seventh. It’s their highest ranking in school
