DUBLIN, Ireland (CNN) - Touching down in Dublin, two of America’s biggest college teams arrived in the capital ahead of Saturday’s season opener. Kansas State and Iowa State will go head-to-head in front of a huge crowd at the Aviva Stadium.

It’s a great opportunity for both football programs and their universities—a chance to put these teams on the world stage. Over 100 players from each side have traveled, along with coaches, physios, cheerleaders, and even the college band.

The event has also drawn thousands of fans, with Aer Lingus expecting to welcome around 24,000 visitors to Dublin.

“My son’s a freshman on the Iowa State football team. It’s our first time in Ireland—we’re expecting a beautiful city and great football," said one fan.
