IOWA CITY, Iowa (KCRG) - The Iowa soccer team lost to TCU, 3-2 on Thursday night. The Hawkeyes went into the game ranked ninth in the country, against seventh-ranked TCU.
Olivia Lebdaoui scored both goals for the Hawks. Stellar plays from the Horned Frogs were too much to overcome.
Iowa head coach, Dave Dilanni, said a big part of the loss was sloppy defense.
“The last two goals in the second half were pretty poor out of the back in terms of decision making. TCU is a very good team who’s going to punish you for those kinds of mistakes,” said Dilanni.
“To me, it was about the details and then ultimately, we didn’t get the press right. It wasn’t until the last 20 minutes when we just went for it and were a bit more reckless with it. So we showed some fight, but there were a lot of detail
