New school board student member wants peers to attend, speak at meetings

After his first school board meeting, Alex Thomas, the 2025-26 student member of the Frederick County Board of Education, wants more students to be involved.

He said in an interview that students in Frederick County Public Schools should be more aware of the school board’s activities and speak during meetings on issues they care about.
