BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) -- Scattered storms and showers are possible through around 9 p.m. Thursday evening, with the wet weather returning Friday.

Temperatures will start to cool down this weekend, and some pop-up storms are possible.

The weather is expected to dry out next week, and temperatures will significantly drop. Low temperatures will be in the lower to middle 60s next week, with highs in the lower 80s.
