GREENSBORO, N.C. — A Guilford County judge has granted the City of Greensboro's request to release body camera footage from a traffic stop on May 14, according to court documents.

A video of the traffic stop that circulated on social media shortly after the incident showed part of an interaction between Greensboro officers and several men in a car, but police say it doesn't tell the whole story.

Back in June, the Greensboro Police Department told WFMY News 2 that on the night of the incident, officers stopped a suspicious car near a shooting scene on Willow Road. When they realized the driver had been arrested two days prior for a concealed gun in his car, police said they told the driver they were going to search the car.
