According to show creator Tony Gilroy, Andor's biggest cliffhanger doesn't have a solution. The hit Star Wars series, Andor , ended its run earlier this year to astounding praise from audiences. Although the titular character dies in the subsequent film, Rogue One , the final TV show scene reveals that he and his lover, Bix Caleen, had a child.

On the matter, Tony Gilroy told GoldDerby that part of his process for adding the baby to the ending was to " tell [Walt Disney CEO] Bob Iger there's a baby. And he can name it, and he can [gender] it, and they can do whatever they want with it ."

Tony Gilroy also explains that this impulse came from not wanting to leave audiences with the " bummer of [Andor] dying ." He also revealed that it helped reaffirm Bix's motivation to
