Peacemaker season 2's premiere is the perfect showcase for what the new DC Universe has to offer. The series's first season was a pleasant surprise. While I thought John Cena did a solid job as Peacemaker in James Gunn's The Suicide Squad , I didn't think the character merited a whole solo series.

Thankfully, I could not have been more wrong. Peacemaker season 1 introduced obscure DC characters in a hilarious, action-packed ride. It also showcased Cena's acting talents better than anything he had done before. So I could not wait to see how Gunn and crew managed to top that.
