With Erin exiting the area, waves and rip current risk will go back to normal for some beaches on Friday. The Outer Banks will block any more swells from reaching the Crystal Coast, and green flags are expected. The risk turns moderate from Cape Lookout to Hatteras. Flags are expected to stay red from Buxton to Duck as large swells continue to arrive. Red flags could linger at a few beaches heading into the weekend.
