BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - It’s one more stormy day before we begin to see a pattern change into the weekend.

FRIDAY FORECAST

The day should start mainly dry, but scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms are expected by the afternoon as a weak cool front sinks slowly southward into the region.

WEEKEND OUTLOOK

As a weak cool front sinks closer to the coast, drier air will gradually filter in from the north. A few lingering showers and thunderstorms on Saturday will give way to a mainly dry Sunday. However, the front is not expected to have any significant impact on temperatures.

TROPICAL UPDATE

The Atlantic is as busy as it’s been all season, but there are no significant threats to the Gulf Coast or the lower 48 over the next several days. Erin continues to pull away from the U.
