LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - McNeese State University is not quiet anymore as hundreds of new and returning students started moving into their dorms today to prepare for the year ahead.
Cars lined up outside Burton Hall as students carried boxes, clothes and supplies. For many freshman, this is their first time away from home.
Jonah Cormier, a freshman at McNeese, shared the five things he made sure to pack.
“Five things I packed my pillows. We can just say bedding for that, let’s see snacks, decorations, toiletries, and clothes,” Cormier said.
Move-in day was a family affair. Dads and even grandfathers stepped in to help students unload and get settled.
