The Steelers might’ve dodged a bullet with rookie Derrick Harmon appearing to have avoided a serious injury in the team’s Thursday preseason win over the Carolina Panthers.
However, Harmon’s injury was one of two that Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin highlighted after the win.
Of the notable injuries, Tomlin said that veteran wide receiver Brandon Johnson is dealing with a foot injury. Tomlin added that other players were dealing with “bumps and bruises.” Pittsburgh won’t play again until Week 1 of the regular season against the New York Jets — in 17 days.
