New York, NY — The NYPD is asking for the public’s help in identifying a man wanted in connection with a hate crime incident that occurred in front of 209 Madison Avenue last month.

According to police, on Saturday, June 28 at approximately 11:39 a.m., the suspect removed two LGBTQIA+ flags from a fence outside the Midtown location before fleeing the area in an unknown direction.

The incident is being investigated by the NYPD’s Hate Crime Task Force.

The suspect is described as a male with a light complexion, between 25 and 35 years old, with a slim build and short brown hair. He was last seen wearing a long-sleeve teal t-shirt, black pants, black shoes, and a navy-blue baseball cap.

Anyone with information about the suspect’s identity is urged to contact the NYPD.
