BOISE, Idaho — Students in the Treasure Valley interested in the medical field have a new state-of-the-art facility to consider at the College of Western Idaho.

The college celebrated the grand opening on Thursday of its new Health & Science Building, a 60,000-square-foot facility designed to consolidate the college's growing healthcare education programs under one roof.

The building, located on CWI's main Nampa campus, houses 106 classes and will serve nearly 2,100 registered students. College officials said the creation of the facility centralizes programs that students had to commute to Boise to attend.
