CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) -- Bursts of color can come in tiny packages.
Illustrator and artist Scott Partridge of Charlotte welcomes the challenge of downsizing his wildlife-inspired work for a project that gives new life to the cigarette machines many might think are obsolete.
“Make a big impact in a little size,” Partridge says, mounting his images of birds and other animals on blocks that fit in the palm of his hand.
“Put a sticker on the back, I like write my name on it,” he explains.
You might say, ‘that’s a wrap,’ as in cellophane. Then, the prints move on to the unconventional marketplace.
“They really like the surprise of kind of not knowing what they’re going to get,” he told Queen City News.
