SHAMOKIN, Pa. — Shamokin comes in as our number one team after going undefeated in the 2024 regular season.

The highlight of the team’s year was when they took down Jersey Shore in overtime to claim their first district title since 2011.

“What I think was the, you know, the deciding factor in our success was that our seniors truly failed, you know, the first three years. They learned what it was like to lose and they didn't like it,” said head coach, Marc Persing.

Some of those seniors have graduated, but plenty of the team’s starters from last year return, mostly on offense.
