CHARLOTTE, N.C. – A former Mecklenburg County deputy court clerk, and youth volleyball coach, is accused of paying underage girls for explicit videos and pictures. Arrest records show 43-year-old Kent Matzinger was caught after an investigation in Texas revealed he was allegedly attempting to buy the images and videos over Instagram.

He resigned from his position with the Mecklenburg County Courthouse earlier this month. And in a statement to WCCB Charlotte, the Carolina Juniors Volleyball Club said, “He resigned last Tuesday by sending us an email with no explanation. We have never had any issues with Kent the entire time he has worked for the club, and we have never received any complaints about him personally or as a coach.”
