HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. – The Huntersville community is in mourning after the death of Huntersville Police Officer Bill Broadway. Family members say he had been battling cancer before his death.

The Huntersville Police Department says Broadway was a devoted servant to the town, its citizens, and his family.

He leaves behind a wife and eight-year-old son.
