The University of Saint Francis logo is getting a new look in time for the start of fall classes Monday. The Catholic institution is expected to introduce the new logo today along with a new academic seal and monogram.

“These elements of the Saint Francis brand were designed to become visual and emotional touchpoints for our vibrant university in the 21st century,” university President Lance Richey said in a statement.

This is the first update to the logo and seal since 1998, when Saint Francis College became the University of Saint Francis, according to a news release provided Thursday to The Journal Gazette.

The monogram – a stylized “SF” – is the university’s first, the release said.
