LOUISVILLE, Ky. — One year ago, Kentucky Venues broke ground on its largest expansion project during the 120th Kentucky State Fair.

Now, during the 121st state fair, Kentucky Venues has shared new renderings of the more than $460 million transformation.

Phase 1 of the project, a $180 million investment, includes a 350,000-square-foot facility designed to host livestock competitions, equine events, sporting tournaments, trade shows, and conventions.

Officials said this year's fairgoers are already experiencing the first wave of enhancements at the Expo Center.
