Home foreclosures are on the rise across the country as a growing number of Americans struggle to keep up with their mortgage payments and other housing costs, according to a recent report by real estate analytics firm ATTOM.

Last month in the U.S., there were 36,128 properties with foreclosure filings, including default notices, scheduled auctions and bank repossessions, up 11 percent from June and 13 percent from a year earlier.
