(KFVS) - The warm, dry and pleasant pattern is set to continue through the weekend ahead of a cooler trend.

Today will be slightly warmer, but still nice for August.

Afternoon highs will be in the mid-to-upper 80s.

Humidity will also remain in check, thanks to light northeast breezes.

This evening and overnight will be mainly clear and mild, with some patchy fog possible late.

Saturday will be the warmest day of the weekend with highs near 90 degrees before a cool down arrives on Sunday.

Another surge of unusually cool and dry (low dewpoint) air will move in by late Sunday.

This will give us a little taste of early fall next week.

Highs for most of next week look to be about 80 to 85 degrees, with lows mostly in the 50s, to around 60 degrees in the Bootheel
