A petition signed by more than half of all residents in a west Stirlingshire village is urging Stirling Council and the police to restore an area of green space in the community.
Last week Buchlyvie Community Council organised the local petition seeking the restoration of an area dubbed ‘The Triangle’ and Mye Path, which they say has become an eyesore.
A total of 237 out of 550 residents signed up, which the petitioners say just shows the local strength of feeling and need for the situation to be resolved.
One local said: “Buchlyvie is a small rural village 12 miles west of Stirling.
“It’s a quiet and friendly place with a village school, health centre, cafe and corner shop.
“Just down Station Road, opposite the health centre, is a small triangle of grass.
