MORGANTOWN -- The nonconference schedules for both the WVU men's and women's basketball teams have similar profiles, with several winnable games pairing with some tougher contests which lead into Big 12 Conference play.
Scheduling, more than ever, has become an art form, with the ability to structure what looks like a challenging slate, but still having the ability to pile up wins and strength numbers as key factors.
WVU was apparently hurt in some of those areas last year, with the men's team snubbed for an NCAA pick altogether by down-the-nose looks from the ACC, while the women were tabbed with a way-too-low No. 6 seed and a dubious road trip to North Carolina.
