ROWLETT, Texas — A North Texas Chipotle location is now offering aerial delivery via the autonomous aircraft company Zipline, company officials said.

The Chipotle location at 3109 Lakeview Parkway in Rowlett will be the first in North Texas to offer the limited service, according to Chipotle officials.

Chipotle customers in the Rowlett area can download the Zipline app and place their Chipotle order. Store employees will then place the order into a "Zipping Point" location that lets the Zipline aircraft -- which are called Zips -- to pick up the order and fly the order to the customer.

When the Zip arrives at the customer's location, it will hover about 300 feet in the air before lowering to the ground.
