A heartbroken university lecturer has told how he's heartbreakingly lost 54 members of his extended family in the conflict in Gaza.
Dr Mohammed Alshurafa, 35 , from Glasgow, has watched on in horror and has felt helpless as his loved ones were killed during the war in the Middle East.
Family deaths include his 13-year-old cousin Salem, who was killed by a drone whilst playing outside his Gaza City home. Salem's father, Ashraf, was also killed in an airstrike whilst distributing aid seven months later.
As Glasgow Live reports, Mohammed, who lives in Robroyston, says his family are "completely hopeless" and that there is "nothing I can say or do that will give them hope" as they face famine and disease amid ongoing violence by Israeli forces in the strip.
