The club has yet to confirm a deal.
Basallo turned 21 on Aug. 13 and is getting a long-term deal after having been called up to the majors in less than a week.
Once complete, the deal will begin next season and includes a club option, Passan reported. The agreement can max out at $88.5 million and is the largest pre-arbitration extension for a catcher, Passan reported.
