GAYLORD ― Football season is nearly here.
We're less than a week away from the opening night of games for Otsego County, with Gaylord, St. Mary and Johannesburg-Lewiston all set to host home games on Thursday, Aug. 28, to kickoff the 2025 season.
On Thursday, Aug. 21, GHS got in some game-like reps to iron out some final wrinkles, hosting McBain, St. Louis, Elk Rapids and Grayling for a scrimmage.
"Nothing out here was perfect at the end of the day," said coach Matt Silsbury . "We've got to get back and really focus on the fundamentals. We really need to hit that hard and drill the fundamentals home."
